WOW. This isn’t just insulting, it’s straight-up ignorant.

Barack Obama didn’t win the Nobel Peace Prize because of “affirmative action.” He won because he symbolized a turning point: from war to diplomacy, from torture to human rights, from fear to hope.

Calling it “affirmative action” is just coward-speak for “I can’t handle a Black man earning global respect.”

You’re not making a point — you’re proving why we need better history education in this country.

You should be ashamed, but that would require having a soul.

President Trump signs order seeking to end federal funding for NPR and PBS

  President Donald Trump signed an executive order Thursday directing the Corporation for Public Broadcasting to end federal funding for America’s two biggest public broadcasters, which have faced a series of attacks from   the White House and Republican lawmakers accusing them of biased reporting. The order  instructs the CPB’s board to terminate direct funding for National Public Radio and the Public Broadcasting Service to the “maximum extent allowed by law and shall decline to provide future funding.” It also orders the board to take steps to “minimize or eliminate” indirect funding to NPR and PBS. The corporation, however, is a private entity that is supposed to be protected from government interference, including executive orders from the president. Israel kills 85 Palestinians, bombing across Gaza amid new ceasefire push

 Homes, schools, hospitals and hungry aid seekers are targeted by Israel as it forces thousands out of the enclave’s north. Israeli forces have bombarded multiple areas across the besieged Gaza Strip, killing at least 85 Palestinians, including aid seekers and families sheltering in schools, and wounding many more in attacks that have also targeted a crowded hospital. In the relentless attacks on Monday, 62 of the victims were in Gaza City and the north of the territory. The Israeli navy struck a port in Gaza City, where the military has stepped up its heavy strikes, killing at least 21 and wounding 30, many of them women and children.
