Hot News ...!!! Tropical Storm Andrea becomes first named system of the Atlantic hurricane season
11:00 AM – Andrea Becomes the First Tropical Cyclone of the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season
The National Hurricane Center has announced the formation of the first tropical cyclone of the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season, located near 36.6°N, 48.9°W in the North Atlantic.
This system, which had been under observation for several days, has now developed the characteristics of a tropical storm and has been officially named Andrea—the first name on this year’s storm list.
Andrea is currently tracking east-northeast at 17 mph, with maximum sustained winds of 40 mph and a minimum central pressure of 1014 millibars.
However, as it moves into cooler waters, Andrea is expected to weaken within the next 24 hours, making its time as a tropical storm relatively brief.
At this time, Andrea poses no threat to any land areas.
