BREAKING: President Donald Trump Tells Acting Thai Prime Minister Phum Tham Wichayachai to Immediately End War with Cambodia

(Washington): On July 26, 2025, Trump tweeted, “I just spoke with the Prime Minister of Cambodia regarding the cessation of the war with Thailand. I appeal to the Acting Prime Minister of Thailand at this time to request a ceasefire and an end to the war that is currently raging.”

Donald Trump explained:

“It happened by chance, as I am currently dealing with both countries on trade, but I do not want to make a deal with any country if they are fighting, and I told them so in the phone call with Thailand.

As for the appeal with Cambodia, the cessation of the war and the ceasefire are based on the Thai side. I am trying to simplify the situation! Many people have been killed in this war, but it reminds me very much of the conflict between Pakistan and India, which was successfully brought to a halt.

"I have just spoken with the acting Prime Minister of Thailand. Thailand, as well as Cambodia, wants an immediate ceasefire. After talks with both sides, a ceasefire and peace are likely to be achieved."
